Small on purpose,
since 2019

A seven-person studio that takes a title from a one-page pitch to a signed Android App Bundle on the Play Store — engineering, art, store listing, live operations. We keep the team small on purpose: the people who design a build are the people who ship it.

How we work

Five positions

Not values on a wall. These are the five arguments we have already had and settled, and they decide most of what happens day to day.

  • A

    The builder ships it

Whoever designs a system writes it and watches it in production. No throwing a spec over a wall, no separate maintenance team inheriting code nobody wants to explain.

  • B

    Mid-range devices are the target

Every build is profiled on a 2019 handset with four gigabytes of RAM before it is profiled on anything newer. That is what most of the installed base is actually holding.

  • C

    Grey-box first, always

Art never rescues a loop that is not fun without it. We find that out in week two on purpose, when it costs three weeks instead of nine months.

  • D

Dates move early or not at all

When a date is going to slip you hear it the week we know, not the week before launch. It is the single thing clients tell us they value most.

  • E

    Seven people, three projects

We turn work down. A studio that takes eight projects a year with seven people is selling you a queue position, not a team.

The seven

Everyone who touches the build

  • MS01

    Mirela Sandu

    Studio lead, gameplay engineering

Founded the studio in 2019 after eight years on mobile racing titles. Writes the physics.

  • JB02

    Joris Beeckman

    Art direction

Draws the thing before anyone builds it. Responsible for every silhouette in the catalogue.

  • TA03

    Tunde Aluko

    Android platform

Kotlin, Compose, and a deep and unwelcome familiarity with Play Console policy documents.

  • PV04

    Pieter Vandegrift

    Tools and build systems

Keeps the release train on the rails. Every AAB in the catalogue came out of his pipeline.

  • SA05

    Selin Aksoy

    Game design, live ops

Tunes economies and events. Argues, usually correctly, about difficulty curves.

  • RL06

    Rasmus Lindqvist

    Audio and technical sound

Composes and implements. Believes a menu with no sound is an unfinished menu.

  • AV07

    Anneke de Vries

    Production, client relations

Scopes the work, protects the sprint, and tells you early when a date is going to move.

  • 08

    Not hiring, but always reading

We open roughly one position a year. If you build for Android and have something shipped, send it — we keep a list.
